I took the classic Grimms Fairytale of Hansel and Gretel and decided to model the interior of the witch's home. Elements from the original story can be seen all throughout the house including the human oven, bread walls, the pancakes she first cooked for the children and smaller items like crab shells and bones from the story.I took inspiration from Television shows such as "Supernatural" and additional structures such as stylized houses.
